Competition Information, Dates & Courses
The mygolfGroup Events in association with PING is presented by mygolfGroup Events and will be played across Killarney Golf & Fishing Club’s Killeen Course, Tralee Golf Links, and Killarney Golf & Fishing Club’s Mahoney’s Point. A three day golf tournament played over consecutive days from Wednesday April 10th to Friday April 12th 2024.
Tournament Format
The mygolfGroup Events in association with PING is a 2 person team event (open to ladies and gents) using Stableford scoring over all three days. Scoring will be Four Ball Better Ball, where the best Stableford score on each hole will be recorded as the team’s score for that hole, with both scores counting on the 18th on each day. Each day’s score will be combined to give an overall winning team.
Full explanation of scoring will be provided at player registration on the first morning at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, should further explanation be required
Entry Fee & Booking Terms
Various packages are available to participants and they are as follows.
Golf Only Package
The Golf Only package is priced at €330 per person.
2 Nights B&B at The Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee & Golf
The 2 Nights B&B at The Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee & 3 competition rounds of golf is priced at €490 per person sharing.
3 Nights B&B at The Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee & Golf
The 3 Nights B&B at The Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee & 3 competition rounds of golf is priced at €570 per person sharing.
2 Nights B&B at Castlerosse Park Resort, Killarney & Golf
The 2 Nights B&B at Castlerosse Park Resort, Killarney & 3 competition rounds of golf is priced at €520 per person sharing.
3 Nights B&B at Castlerosse Park Resort, Killarney & Golf
The 3 Nights B&B at Castlerosse Park Resortl, Killarney & 3 competition rounds of golf is priced at €615 per person sharing.
2 Nights B&B at The Scotts Hotel, Killarney

All packages can only be reserved with a 25% deposit. This deposit is non-refundable after February 20th. The remaining balance of the package is due before 5pm on Monday March 11th 2024.
Payments via Bank Transfer or Debit/Credit Card. Details will be sent upon booking.
Tournament Entry Fees are due in full by 5pm Monday 11th March 2024

mygolfGroup have negotiated with a selection of locally based hotels and secured exclusive rate offers for players competing in The mygolfGroup Events in association with PING. We can provide players with suitable options upon request.
Please note: To avail of the rates listed above mygolfGroup will arrange your room(s)/accommodation for you upon request.
Tee Times
The tee-times will vary across the three days/courses. The Tournament Director will endeavour, where possible, to fulfill requests for specific/preferred tee-times, however this connot be guaranteed and tee times may be subject to change. Timesheets will be made available to participants in advance of the tournament and in advance of the 2nd and 3rd day of the competition. Final day pairings will be decided by score.
Eligibility & Handicaps
The Event is open to Ladies & Gents and teams may be mixed if teams choose to do so. The event is open to WHS Handicap holders and those who do not hold a WHS handicap. In the event that a participant does not hold a WHS handicap, there is a maximum handicap allocation of 18 for men and 24 for ladies. PLEASE NOTE: If a player is allocated a handicap due to not holding a WHS handicap, the handicap will be sensitive to better than level par scores. For example - if a player is given a handicap of 18 and they bring in a score of 40+ points - or they have contributed the majority of points towards an extreme team score - this player's handicap will be adjusted to maintain an element of fairness for all participants. The tournament Director's decision on this is final.Fourballs will consist of two teams with each team marking the other teams scores. Players will be scored off the World Handicap System for each course.
Each participant’s Playing Handicap for each individual course will be printed on your scorecard upon daily registration.
Playing Handicaps are based on 90% of Course Handicap for men and 95% of Course Handicap for ladies.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Deposits (25% of the chosen package) are refundable until February 20th 2024. All cancellations made before 5pm on February 20th will have all payments made refunded in full. All deposits paid after February 20th are non-refundable. Balance payments are due before 5pm on March 11th. All cancellations made after this date will result in full forfeiture of payments made.
Bookings will only be transferable to another person at the discretion of the organisers.
In the event of a tournament cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, all players will be offered an alternative date or a refund of their tournament entry.
Suspension or Cancellation of Play
Should play have to be suspended or cancelled by any event outside the control of the Event Organisers (ie. adverse weather etc) the organisers will make the final decision regarding revision of play and/or awarding of prizes.

All players should have adequate golfers insurance.
Decisions of the Tournament Director in relation to any of the above Terms and Conditions are final.

Prizes
There will be prizes for: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. There will also be prizes for “Longest Drive” and “Closest the Pin” on each day. In the event of a tie, winners will be decided by countback.

Winner Announcement
Upon completion of play on Friday April 14th the winners of all prizes will be announced. Winners of the daily prizes will be informed prior to play the next day, and will be offered their prize if they do not wish to wait for the prize giving ceremony once play ends on Friday.
